Oakland Reserve Deck

This deck was structurally sound, but worn and weathered. We made a few minor repairs with epoxy. The entire deck was sanded with 35 and 60 grit sand paper. All of the top rails were sanded down to 180 grit for a smooth, splinter free surface.

After the prep work was completed, all surfaces had an application of Arborcoat oil based primer (366) applied.

The primer was left to dry for 24 hours. Then two finish applications were applied to all balusters. The color is Bradstreet Beige (HC48). Arborcoat solid waterborne stain.

The treads, risers and horizontal deck boards were finished with Arborcoat waterborne stain. The color is Cougar Brown (2106-40).

All of the products for this project were purchased at Pete and John's Paint Market, Oakland, NJ.
